Put the draft board on a TV or projector
The board is a browser tab. The commissioner runs that tab on the machine connected to the TV. Owners pick from their phones. There is no shareable room link — the TV tab is the board the room is watching.

The setup
- Open Surplus on the laptop that will drive the display Go to surplus.football and press Open the board, or just start on the free board. Set up the league, or import a Sleeper league. Guest state lives in this browser.
- Send the picture to the TV HDMI from the laptop, or cast that tab (Chromecast, AirPlay, a smart-TV browser). Full-screen the tab (F11 in most desktops) so chrome gets out of the way. In League setup, tick Board on a TV so the turn ring reads from the couch.
- Commissioner records picks on that machine Type a name, press Enter. The keyboard is built for a 60-second clock. The person at the TV is the one writing the board — unless you use Sleeper follow.
- Owners pick from their phones They make the pick in the league they already use (Sleeper, or wherever you draft), or they open Surplus on a phone for their own rankings. A phone does not remote-control the TV tab.
Optional: follow a Sleeper draft
If the league’s official draft is on Sleeper, League setup can import scoring, roster shape, order, and team names, then follow the draft live. Picks land on the TV board without retyping. It is read-only — no Sleeper password.
That is the only way this site stays in sync with another device. Guest drafts do not share a URL. Two browsers are two boards.
Why it reads across the room
The board is dark, for a dim basement. Green means the team on this machine is on the clock; it flips to orange when someone else is up. You do not have to read the header from the couch. Position colors stay the same in the table, the chips, and the grid so a run is a vertical band.
