What is Surplus?

A live fantasy football draft board. Every row is priced in projected points and value over baseline (VOB) under your scoring. Open surplus.football, set the league, start picking.

Is Surplus free?

Yes. Free at surplus.football. Guest drafts stay in this browser. Surv% and Δ pick lock behind a free sign-up. There is no paid tier on these pages.

Is Surplus the same as surplus value drafting?

No. Surplus value is a drafting strategy — take the player farthest above replacement, or farthest above ADP. Surplus is a product: the board that writes those numbers on every row. You can use surplus-value thinking on any board. This one shows the numbers.

What is VOB?

Value over baseline: projected points minus the last startable player at that position. Raw points cannot compare a quarterback to a running back; VOB can. It is the ranking number. More on how Surplus prices picks in points and points, not stars.

Who is it for?

Someone who wants the pick priced in fantasy points, under their scoring, while the room is live. Not a printed star sheet.

Can remote owners pick from their own phones?

Not as a shared room. HDMI or cast the Surplus tab. The commissioner records picks on that machine. There is no shareable room URL — two browsers are two boards. A phone is not a remote control for the TV tab.

Is there a trade calculator without signing up?

Yes. The trade calculator is a public page. Redraft, keepers, and dynasty. Superflex and the football scoring presets. The number is Surplus VOB, not a crowdsourced index. No account. A deal that has to seat into a starting lineup still lives on Trades after you open a league.

Formats

Snake, linear, snake with 3rd-round reversal, and auction (dollar figures are a VOB-split estimate, not sold prices). Scoring presets include standard, PPR, and half-PPR. Roster shapes include standard, superflex, two-flex, and no kicker/DST.

Columns

Proj, VOB, Tier, ADP, Δ pick, Surv%, Inj, and Bye. Scarcity counts players still above replacement. Queue and roster sit beside the table. Filter QB, RB, WR, TE, K, DST.

Who it is not for

A league that mainly wants walk-up songs, logos, and remote owners on one shared party URL. That is FanDraft, Clicky Draft, GetDraftedNow, or LiveDraftX. If the league already drafts inside Sleeper, that app is the host; Surplus can optionally follow a Sleeper draft read-only.
