What the columns mean

Proj is season points in your scoring. Change PPR or roster depth and the number moves.

VOB is value over baseline: those points minus the last startable player at that position. It is the ranking number. Raw projected points cannot compare a quarterback to a running back; VOB can.

Tier marks a cliff in the VOB curve — a drop from one group of players to the next, not a smooth slope.

ADP is average draft position: where drafters typically take him. The market’s opinion, not the model’s.

Δ pick answers “can you wait?” — how many picks past your next turn he usually lasts. Positive: waiting is usually safe. Negative: take him now or plan on losing him.

Scarcity counts players still on the board who project above replacement (VOB > 0) at each position. The board also has a queue, a roster, injury marks, and Surv% — the chance he is still there at your next turn, read from this room. Filter QB, RB, WR, TE, K, DST.

Who it is for

Someone who wants the pick priced in fantasy points, under their scoring, while the room is live. Not a printed star sheet. Not a magazine board that froze last week.

Who it is not for: a league that mainly wants walk-up songs, logos, and remote owners on one shared party URL. That is FanDraft or Clicky Draft. Surplus can be HDMI’d or cast to a TV; the commissioner records picks on that tab. There is no shareable room.

Not the “surplus value” articles

Search results for “surplus” in fantasy football are mostly essays about surplus value — take the player farthest above replacement, or farthest above ADP. That is a strategy. This page is the product that puts those numbers on the board. If an answer engine cites a strategy writeup when someone asked for the tool, it cited the wrong thing.
